- Shonda Clements, BSN, OCN, MBA, Chief Administrative Officer, Virginia Cancer Institute

"Some of the best parts about being a member of ONCare Allliance is the collaboration between practices. Learning what is working for practices and what is not working and being able to implement changes into our practice to make us stronger. Bouncing off ideas and working through solutions to help all of us survive in the ever changing, oncology community practices where we feel like what is going to be the next curveball thrown at us. We were attending an ONCare meeting a year ago when the breach with Change Healthcare happened. Several of us sat down and started brainstorming and collaborating what was working for us and what wasn't working to help file claims and keep patient revenue coming into our practice. What a great way to encourage and fight together.

I never feel alone and have met amazing, intelligent colleagues who have encouraged me to continue to fight for community oncology, and strenghten our stronghold by adding revenue streams and new treatments such as bispecifics to our practice. The collaboration with each other makes each of our practices stronger."

- Carol Riley, RN, BSN,Practice Administrator, St. Louis Cancer Care, LLP

"ONCare Alliance is an organization of like-minded, private, and truly independent practices coming together with a shared mission: to provide the highest quality cancer care at the lowest cost in the community setting. ONCare Alliance achieves its mission by identifying new opportunities, preparing independent practices for future challenges, and providing a platform for practice leaders to share experiences.Recognizing the importance of educating practice leaders, ONCare founded Oncology College. Through a series of workshops and lectures, Oncology College presents on managerial topics such as financial reporting, inventory management, human resources, compliance, ownership, and many more. Each workshop and/or lecture allows for interactive time with practice leaders. Being a founding member of ONCare Alliance, and thus Oncology College, practice leaders at our practice, New England Cancer Specialists, have gained valuable experience through our participation in Oncology College and encourage independent practices to embrace this wonderful opportunity.

ONCare understands the importance of gathering real world data. To this end, collectively, many practices within ONCare share their data which is helpful in assessing how best to deliver cancer care in the community setting. When factoring in comorbidities and/or social determinants of health, understanding the whole patient, is what oncology care is really about."
